About Us

Rescue Basics was founded in 2009 and has been providing certification classes under the authorization of the American Heart Association (AHA) for healthcare workers and lay rescuers. The founder has been certified in basic first aid and CPR since he was 12 years old (1995) and began teaching shortly after he joined a local volunteer fire department in 2008. Since then he has completed licensure as a EMT- Paramedic and is now a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department at a level 1 trauma center in his home town.

The primary focus of Rescue Basics is to establish a solid foundation for healthcare professionals and lay rescuers to build on and make a difference in their community.

Our mission is to maintain the proficiency of healthcare professionals in the latest basic life support techniques as outlined by the AHA and evidence based practice.

The chain of survival is the core content of CPR classes. When executed efficiently, it increases the victims chances of survival substantially.
