About- rescue basics

Be Ready. Be Confident. Save a Life.

Founded in 2009, Rescue Basics has one mission: to provide practical, effective, and reliable emergency training that saves lives.

Our founder has been certified in basic first aid and CPR since the age of 12 (1995). His passion for emergency medicine grew when he joined a volunteer fire department in 2008, where he began teaching CPR and first aid to the public.

Over the years, he advanced his education and experience—earning his EMT-Paramedic licensure and later becoming a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department of a Level 1 Trauma Center.

If you are a healthcare professional or in training for a healthcare profession, you may be required to attend a BLS for Healthcare Providers class or renewal every two years. This is because the American Heart Association cards and e-cards expire every two years to ensure core competencies and up to date evidence based practices are shared.

all other safety conscious professions or lay rescuers such as babysitters or boy/girl scouts should obtain a Heartsaver CPR/AED course certification. Please select a First Aid course if you require one in addition to CPR. These are also two year certification, however not all employers may require them.

If you have completed a computer-based course from the AHA and require a skills validation, you should select this option and add in the comments whether you would like to perform these before or after the class you select.

If you are a leader in your organization looking for a fresh new way to present information that has become tedious or monotonous to your employees please select custom presentation and I will connect with you to discuss your needs.

Rescue Basics is responsible for setting the cost of all courses and dedicated to providing the most cost effective, quality training. Cost varies by course, however Rescue Basics maintains the integrity of their pricing as being the most affordable for the content offered.

The AHA charges a fee based on the card issued for the course and the hybrid BLS option also requires an additional product purchase from the AHA website.

Custom courses range in price depending on the length of presentation and time required to development content. Please request a consultation to provide a cost analysis.

This is a very rare exception and will be addressed on a case by case basis with students dependent on time frame given and availability to make up courses. This may include a letter to provide to your employer/ educational institution.
